We, Visa-Free Coalition members require signing of an agreement on the Common Aviation Area between the European Union and its member states and Ukraine in the near future.

On 19 December 2013 the Visa-Free Europe Coalition, of which the Hungarian Europe Society is a member, issued a statement calling for a temporary suspension of the visa regime for the Ukrainian citizens with regards to short-term travel to the European Union in 2014. The declaration is a gesture to the Ukrainian people, who have peacefully demonstrated their European orientation.
Attila Melegh represented the HES at the recent Visa-Free Europe Coalition meeting in Warsaw on 2 July, which attracted 32 experts and activists from numerous countries. Iurie Bodrug, Ambassador of Moldova to Poland spoke about the efforts of the country to achieve the visa-free status.

The Stefan Batory Foundation organised a consultation in order to urge visa-free travel for Eastern neighbours of the EU at the headquarter of the foundation in Warsaw on 25-26 November 2010. Jerzy Celichowski represented HES at the event. As a result of the meeting, the Hungarian Europe Society joint the Coalition for a European continent undivided by visa barriers.
Interviews taken by Zoltán Dóczi about the travelling to the west under communism was published in the publication of the Stefan Batory Foundation (Warsaw) entitled Europe Divided - Then and Now. The volume is the result of the research on the Schengen system in which the HES also participated.
The Hungarian Europe Society organised an international workshop on European policy issues on 4 December 2009 in Budapest.

The Hungarian Europe Society organised a workshop together with the Stefan Batory Foundation, Warsaw, the Association for International Affairs, Prague and the Research Center of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association, Bratislava entitled "V4 and Eastern Neighbours: Schengen and Its Impact on Mutual Co-operation" on 10 June 2009 at the "Aranytíz" Cultural Centre in Budapest.
